Some fights need no introduction. The ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, Rodtang, puts his gold on the line against the division’s kickbox king Superlek in a fight we have been waiting years to see. It will finally go down at ONE Friday Fights 34, after many years of their paths not crossing. Both men have the CVs and reputations to suggest this will be nothing less than a classic between two modern-day legends. For fans everywhere, this is one to sit back and savour.
Stamp Fairtex vs Ham Seo Hee
At ONE Fight Night 14 we have an absolute blockbuster to look forward to for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title as the explosive Ham Seo Hee collides with Stamp Fairtex. 36-year-old Ham is on a nine-fight win streak and is ready to fulfill the destiny of a glittering 16-year, 34-fight career. In her way is a former ONE kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion, whose win over Supergirl last time out put the division on notice – this one will have fireworks from the outset.
Stephen Loman vs John Lineker
Another stunning unbeaten streak on the line at ONE Fight Night 14 is that of Stephen Loman. The Filipino fighter has not tasted defeat in his last 11 bouts, with three of them since his ONE debut, including a standout win against former bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes. The man who took that title from Bibiano was John Lineker. Despite some weight issues, Lineker has only lost once in his last seven fights – and we know the damage those ‘Hands of Stone’ can do.
Smilla Sundell vs Allycia Hellen Rodrigues
Champion versus Champion is always a mouthwatering prospect – and when you have two athletes of the calibre of Smilla Sundell and Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, even more so. Sundell, ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion, is a fighting prodigy at the age of just 18, and holds an undefeated professional Muay Thai record. For Allycia Hellen Rodrigues this is a chance to move up in weight having unified the atomweight division in super impressive fashion.
Akram Hamidi vs Prajanchai PK Saenchai
What an opportunity this is for Algeria’s Akram Hamidi. He is one of the MENA region’s biggest prospects, with a fearsome Muay Thai and kickboxing reputation, including four devastating stoppages in his last four outings. He now faces a bout that could launch him into superstardom. Prajanchai PK Saenchai is a former Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion and now holder of the interim title, and with hundreds of bouts under his belt has the experience to test, and derail the best in the business. A win for Hamidi would be huge not only for him but the MENA region fight scene as a whole.
