Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers is about to become a very wealthy man, as he recently signed a five-year contract worth $262 million.
He is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, not to mention one of its most physically imposing players at the position, as he stands at 6-foot-6, weighs nearly 240 pounds, and possesses a rocket for a throwing arm.
Former NFL star LeSean McCoy says Herbert is under “a ton of pressure” this season, not just because of his humongous new contract, but also because he has yet to deliver the goods, via “Speak” on FS1.

In three pro seasons, Herbert has tallied 14,089 passing yards and 94 passing touchdowns while completing 66.9 percent of his pass attempts.
However, the Chargers have made the playoffs just once in that span, and that playoff trip, which came last season, ended in disaster, as they blew a 27-0 lead and lost in the final seconds to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wild Card round.
Herbert didn’t play well in that contest, yet it is way too early to brand him a choker or overrated.
Some of Los Angeles’ ineptness in that contest wasn’t his fault, as wide receiver Mike Williams was unable to play due to injury.
The team was also ravaged by injuries throughout the season, with Williams, Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, J.C. Jackson and Rashawn Slater all missing quite a bit of time.
This year, the Chargers have Quentin Johnston, the wide receiver they took in the first round of April’s draft, who is expected to give them a true speed threat downfield.
Johnston, combined with new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, could result in Herbert living up to his new big bag.
