Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: November 4th, 2023
1) RGIII Pounds Table for New Vikings QB: The rookie certainly has some supporters. RGIII is among those who believe. Count Kevin O’Connell among them, as well, which is a conclusion we can come to largely because of the head coach’s aggressive play calling at the end of the Packers game.
2) The News about the Vikings’ Various Quarterbacks is Arriving at Breakneck Speed: There’s no shortage of quarterbacks in Minnesota. The Vikings are working with this fivesome: Kirk Cousins, Nick Mullens, Jaren Hall, Joshua Dobbs, and Sean Mannion. The issue is that a pair are hurt, one is a rookie, the other just arrived, and the last one is on the practice squad.
3) The Vikings Got Rid of Their Boogeyman: Not sure if I’d say the boogeyman has been totally subdued, but there have been some positive signs for O’Connell’s crew. Finding success with Hall under center is going to involve Minnesota tackling the monster more thoroughly.
4) Former Vikings WR Gets the Call: The byproduct of a poor trade, Jalen Reagor struggled for the Vikings. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s rationale was sound — bring in a super talented receiver on a cost-controlled deal who could give the special teams a boost — but the results just didn’t arrive. Reagor now gets the chance to help New England climb out of their hole.
5) Vikings Reportedly Wanted Different QB Before Landing Joshua Dobbs: Well, they inquired about one. That interest didn’t end up in a deal coming together. The Vikings will move forward with the athletic, brainy Dobbs as a backup (and maybe even the starter before it’s all said and done).
